The bolts provided are just ever so slightly too short for these to work reliably with standard 1 – 1/16″ (OD) EMT tubing. I had to use channel grip pliers to squeeze the ends together while threading the bolt into the nut. The provided nuts have a small threaded extension to provide greater grip, but because the bolts are so short, that thin walled threaded extension on the nut is in tension before the bolt has threaded all the way into the nut. This caused the nut to snap in two on several attempted installations on several different types of connectors. This would be remedied if the provided bolts were a mere 1/4″ longer.

Thank you for your review. I’m very sorry that you had a bad experience connecting tinktube on a 1″ EMT tubing. Our connectors and accessories are 100% compatible with our 1-1/16″ tinktube pipes but not with the standard 1″ EMT conduit that you’ll find at hardware store. We will do a better job on explaining it on our Website, thanks to your comment. Please contact us at [email protected] to try our 1-1/16″ galvanized pipe which is cheaper inch for inch than a standard 1″ EMT conduit.
