When to change the wheel blade of a pipe cutter
If you use the pipe cutter:
- Every day: It might be a good idea to change the blade every couple of months as a good maintenance habit.
- For a single project once every 3-4 months: You may need to change the blade maybe once or twice a year if your projects are more oriented to a medium-large sized project.
- For a single project once or twice a year: The blade should last quite a while.
Also, make sure to not leave it exposed to the elements as this will indeed affect the overall wear and tear of the pipe cutter and blade, which can rust if left outside.
Whether cutting EMT conduit or tinktube steel pipe, it is as easy as using the T-CUTTER !

This did the job for larger cut offs. Blade dulled after about 12 cuts. Measure right the first time, any cuts less than 3/8” are very challenging as blade slips off the pipe.
