You probably don’t know Ben, but you’re about to find out just how clever this DIYer is. Ben has a wood-burning fireplace in his home and keeps it going all winter. He needed a firewood rack to avoid a trip to the woodshed every time he had to fuel the fire. Ideally, this rack would have the following characteristics; it would be black or charcoal grey to match the fireplace, it would be on legs to avoid damaging the floor, and it would have a contemporary style, to match the decor of the house. After looking online and not finding anything interesting, Ben decided to build his own… And that’s how the story of this DIY log holder free plan began!
1. The parts you’ll need
After creating his DIY pipe firewood rack, Ben kindly shared with us pictures of his project and the plans he had designed to plan the materials he would need and facilitate his building process… We’re sharing that information with you now so you can create your own firewood rack at home!
Before ordering the parts you need, make sure you adapt the plans shown in section 2 to your own version of the DIY log holder. You can change the dimensions of the project or do any modifications you’d like to the original plans, of course… It’s your project! All you have to do is use this free plan as a reference and change the number of tubes or other parts needed according to your own design!

2. The cut list
As you’ll see, there are not so many cuts involved in this project. But still, to make your life easier, use the cut list below to create this DIY log holder. Remember: everything is adjustable, so customize it however you need and adjust the cut list accordingly!

3. Build your DIY log holder
Now that all the pipes are cut and you’ve gathered all the connectors, you’re ready to start building your firewood rack. This plan includes all the information you need to do it right. Use the color codes to assemble the right connectors with the tubes at the right places.

If you don’t already have a pipe cutter, get one from our shop here (you’ll need it to cut the pipes, and you’ll use it again on your next tinktube projects)! The tinktube joint sets are assembled with bolts that require the following tools -you might already have this at home-:
