For DIYers, Halloween often means opportunities to create new projects -and to eat a lot of candy, of course-! This tinktube structure in the shape of a spider will let you decorate your front porch in a perfect Halloween-scary-spooky way!
- Paint the tubes with Posca markers to make the spider any color you want;
- Fix your candy bowl on top of the spider, for a contact-free way to give out the candy;
- Disassemble the project after Halloween to create something else!
1. The parts you’ll need
You can always adjust the height of the structure, add an arm to it, or create your own design! Here are the parts and tubes you’ll need to build this project. Modify the dimensions and adjust the number of tubes and fittings according to your own plan!

2. The cut list
Before you start building your DIY Halloween decorations, you have to cut the pipes according to the size of your project. Here is the cut list to build a 52” X 37 3/4” spider:

If you don’t already have a pipe cutter, get one from our shop here. You’ll need it to cut the pipes and for your next DIY projects.
3. The build (the fun part)
Now that you’ve cut all the pipes, you’re ready to start building your DIY Halloween decorations.

4. Create the head of your spider
Use your imagination to create an original head for your spider. Here, Esteban used a decorated pumpkin and placed it on the structure. Spooky isn’t it? ?
