How much better at golf could you become if you were able to practice your game all year long? What if you could improve your golf every single day, from the comfort of your garage or basement? Experiment with your swing as much as you want, without having to book a specific time slot or drive anywhere. If these questions cross your mind every now and then, there’s only one way to find the answers: you need to build a DIY golf simulator.
We’ve got great news for you: building your own golf simulator can be simple, and it can also be much cheaper than you think. With the tinktube system, you’ll be able to customize the whole project, including:
- The dimensions
- The shape
- The color
1. The parts you’ll need to build your DIY golf simulator
Even though building a golf simulator is easier than you may think, there are a few essential steps you have to consider. The first one is to draft up a plan and use it to determine the parts you’ll need. The plan in section 2 gives you the basic information to build a golf simulator of a specific size, but if you decide to customize your project, you’ll have to adapt the list of parts according to your own plans.
If you are unsure about some details regarding your project, schedule a free 15-minutes call with our technical expert Esteban to get advice on the next steps!

What you’ll need: Connectors and tubes
So here are the parts and tubes you’ll need if you follow our plan, that is designed to build a 91 1/4″ X 87 1/4″ frame, with a depth of 45 1/4″. If you decide to build a project that differs in dimensions, change the length of the tubes (see cut list in section 2) and adjust the number of tubes and fittings according to your own plan.
