1. The parts you’ll need
Whether you’ll be growing plants, fruits or vegetables, a vertical farming structure will help you organize your project in the most efficient way. Your structure can include an integrated lighting system and an irrigation system, depending on how advanced you are at the farming game. Add wheels to it if you want to be able to move it around easily! We got inspired by l’Agriculteur Urbain’s work and prepared some free plans to help you build your own farming structure!
Here are the tubes and fittings you’ll need to build this DIY urban farming structure! You’d like to customize the project? No problem! Adjust the height, length, and depth to make it how you like.

3. The build (the fun part)
The tinktube joint sets are assembled with bolts that require one of the following tools -you might also have this at home-:

4. Add your PVC pipes
To build the structure according to this plan, you’ll need 4-inch diameter and 42-inch length PVC pipes. You’ll need to contact your local plumber to buy this size of PVC pipes.
However, you can always adapt the size of the plan and buy these PVC pipes and pipe ends sold on Amazon.com:
